This scenic tour leads from Amtshainersdorf from the Sebnitz valley to the Unger and back again through the beautiful Ulbersdorf.
The tour leads from Amtshainersdorf in the beautiful Sebnitz Valley through Schönbach to the Unger, from where you have an impressive view over the whole of Saxon Switzerland. From Unger, the route then leads back through Ulbersdorf, a village that is really worth a visit.

The tour starts at the Amtshainersdorf stop and from there first crosses the Sebnitz and then follows the red dot in the direction of Gasthof Sebnitztal.
Shortly before Gasthof Sebnitztal, turn left and follow the yellow line to Schönbach. In Schönbach, follow the road for a short distance through the village until you turn right and follow the yellow line up to Unger.
From Unger, follow the green line to Krumhermsdorf and from there continue to Ulbersdorf. Then follow the signs to Ulbersdorf railway station along the road through the village and after this continue along the road down into the Sebnitz valley, where the tour ends.
Optionally, you can also hike from Ulbersdorf directly back to Amthainersdorf after leaving the village, following the red dot. This is a beautiful 20-minute route.
Sturdy shoes and food are recommended, as some of the paths are unpaved and the refreshment stops are not always open.
Otherwise, we recommend stopping for refreshments on the Ungerberg and at the Almenhof in Ulbersdorf.
From the observation tower on the Ungerberg you can enjoy the view even more with binoculars.
You can drive to Bad Schandau National Park railway station, park there and change to the U28 National Park railway.
To get here, we recommend taking the National Park railway U28 from Bad Schandau in the direction of Rumburk to the Amtshainersdorf stop. (In Bad Schandau you can easily change from the S-Bahn S1 to the National Park railway U28.)

For the return journey, we recommend taking the National Park railway U28 in the direction of Decin from Ulbersdorf to Bad Schandau.
