From Goßdorf via Lohsdorf and Hohnstein to Rathen

The tour starts at the Goßdorf-Kohlmühle stop in the Sebnitztal valley and follows the yellow line from there into the Schwarzbachtal valley to the Goßdorfer Raubschloss castle.

After a short detour up the hill to the ruins of the robber's castle, continue along the blue dot through the Schwarzbach valley to Lohsdorf railway station. Here you follow the original route of the narrow-gauge railway that once ran through the valley to Hohnstein.

From Lohsdorf railway station, follow the road first through the village and then on towards Ehrenberg until a stone signpost at a crossroads points to Hohnstein.

At the entrance to Hohnstein - at the Sachsenberg housing estate - keep slightly to the left and follow a path along the field, which then runs through an allotment site.

At the next road, walk a short distance to the right and immediately leave the road again to the left onto a path that used to be used by the narrow-gauge railway. You then walk through Hohnstein via Alte Brandstraße and past the town hall up to Hohnstein Castle.

After visiting the castle, you walk back a short distance to the town hall and then follow the blue line through the Schindergraben into the Polenztal valley and from the Polenztal up to the Hockstein.

On the way up the Hockstein through the Wolfsschlucht gorge, a short detour around the corner to the Hockstein cave is recommended.

From Hockstein, follow the green line to Amselsee and from there to Rathen, where you cross the Elbe by ferry and end the tour at the railway station.
