This easy tour leads through Dolní Poustevna (Lower Poustevna) to the Poustevník viewing hill, passing several restored memorial stones along the way.
The tour leads from Dolní Poustevna via Horní Poustevna and Nová Viska to Poustevník - a small, pointed mountain with a beautiful view. You will pass various restored monuments and memorials along the way.

The tour starts at Dolní Poustevna railway station and first follows the road down into the village. Once you reach the main road, follow it to the left through the entire village, cross a railway bridge and pass various monuments and memorials.
Once you arrive in Horní Poustevna, continue along the main road and then turn left towards Nová Viska.
From Nová Viska, follow the green line to Poustevník, towards which you follow a green triangle.
After descending from Poustevník, follow the green line back to Horní Poustevna and then continue in the direction of Horní Poustevna railway station. You will come to a small reservoir, which you walk past until you reach the next major road. Then turn left and walk back to Dolní Poustevna along the road to the railway station from which you started.
As there are no refreshment stops on the tour, it is advisable to have enough food and drink with you. You can also enjoy the view from Poustevnik even more with binoculars!
You can drive to Bad Schandau National Park railway station by car and park there.
We recommend taking the National Park railway U28 from Bad Schandau in the direction of Rumburk to Dolní Poustevna station.
